Coasun Inc. is Canadian based company located in Guelph, Ontario, co-founded in 2008 by Alejandro Marangoni and Steve Bernet to license their patented technology in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

CoasunSA shortening alternative was developed by Dr. Alejandro Marangoni, Ph.D.,  Professor of Food Science, University of Guelph and Canada Research Chair in Food, Health and Aging.  Dr. Alejandro Marangoni has published over 250 peer reviewed articles, 9 books, and is considered one of the world’s leading experts on lipids.
